CAUTION! These units are very strong magnets. If you have a pacemaker or similar device, DO NOT HANDLE THE PACKAGE OR THE UNITS! Have someone else install the units for you. After they are installed, don't get within 3' of the units - be safe.
Installing the units is very easy and does not require tools (if your water lines are copper or plastic). Place 2 units 6 to 12 inches apart on the cold water line where it enters the home (before the 1st 'T').
Pull the back half off and set it away from the front half. Remove the 2nd set of nuts.
Place the front half over the pipe, then carefully place the back half on the bolts and slowly let it come down to the pipe.
Use the 2nd set of nuts to make the back unit parallel with the front unit.
NEO MINI Installation
NEOMAX MINI OR NEOPLUS MINI are attached to the water pipe or tubing, using the same method as shown. If necessary, a piece of split rubber tubing may be used to assist in fitting the unit over small tubing or hose as required.
Shown are 4 common uses for the Mini Units. Under the sink on the line to your dishwasher, on the water line to a spare bath toilet, on the ice maker line on the fridge, and as a booster for the shower. As the calcium/lime is being dissolved, large calcium chips could plug up small equipment and restrict flow until the build up is completely dissolved; clean equipment as appropriate.
Pool or Spa Installation
To Treat A Long Line From The Well If your well is 50' or more from your house and you want to treat the pipe, you would place 2 additional units near the well. Keep in mind that these units are for copper or PVC pipe. If your pipe isgalvanized, steel or iron, you need to replace a 2'-3' section with PVC or copper for the units.
Line Splits Between Well and House If your water line splits or tees before it gets to the house and you want to treat the water where the split runs - add 2 units prior to the split or tee (see diagram below). Keep in mind that these units are for copper or PVC pipe. If your pipe is galvanized, steel or iron, you need to replace a 2'-3' section with PVC or copper for the units.
Treatment For Home With Pressure Tank Quite often placing magnetic water softeners on a home that is fed by a well is much the same as a home fed by a city water supply. The main difference is a pressure tank is usually placed prior to the 1st tee or split in the cold water line. Two of the NEO PLUS magnetic water conditioner units should be placed between the output of the pressure tank and the 1st tee (see diagram below). The 3rd unit is placed on the output of the hot water tank.
